Join brave and spirited heroine Betsy and her forty-four tiny mice in a charming adventure.
Betsy is delighted that her father is opening a bakery. And when the Taster of Fine Foods for the Queen asks him to cater for a Royal Gala, it seems like the icing on the cake – until they discover
just how many cakes are needed.
The whole family pitches in to help but as the day of the gala dawns Betsy knows the only way they’ll get the job done is with a little help from her forty-four mice. Just as long as she can keep
them away from prying eyes.

“Narrator Imogen Sage sweetly introduces Betsy and her 44 mice, who make the best treats in all of London…Listeners of all ages will relish this tasty listen, which includes a cameo appearance by none other than Queen Elizabeth herself.” —AudioFile
Sylvia Bishop spent an entire childhood reading fiction, dreaming up stories, and pretending. She then tried very hard to get to grips with the real world by studying politics and
going in to social science research. This was a shock. Thankfully, she discovered improvised comedy at university, which allowed her to carry on making up stories for at least thirty percent of her
waking hours. Now she writes her stories down, preferably by lamp-light with tea. She only ever really writes the bad ones: the good ones write themselves without warning, generally when she was
planning to go to bed. She lives in London, where she continues to work in research and is one half of improvised comedy duo the Peablossom Cabaret.
