Author Bio: Michael R. Beschloss

Michael R. Beschloss has been called “the nation’s leading presidential historian” by Newsweek.  He has written numerous books on American presidents and is a contributor to PBS’s The Newshour with Jim Lehrer. He received an Emmy Award in 2005 for his work on the Discovery Channel’s Decisions That Shook the World. As a public speaker, Beschloss has made appearances at a number of colleges, universities, and presidential libraries. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and lives in Washington, DC, with his wife and two sons.
