Author Bio: Samuel W. Mitcham Jr.
Samuel W. Mitcham Jr. has been a professor of history at Henderson State University, Georgia Southern University, and the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and a visiting professor at West Point. He is the author of more than twenty books on World War II, including Hitler’s Commanders and Triumphant Fox. He lives in Monroe, Louisiana.

Samuel W. Mitcham Jr. is the author of more than forty books, several of which are history or military history book club selections. He was a US Army helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War, remained active in the reserves, graduated from the US Army’s Command and General Staff College, and is qualified through the rank of major general. He is married and has two children. He lives in Monroe, Louisiana.
