Racing Storm Mountain

Summary

Kelton Fielding just wants to fit in with everyone else in the small town of McCall, Idaho. It’s hard when he’s one of the only poor kids at school, he and his mom have had to move around a bunch, and his classmates barely tolerate his presence. But when a snowmobile race is announced at McCall’s annual Winter Carnival, Kelton sees a chance to solve some of his problems. If he can fix up his old sled and get it running, he’s sure he can figure out a way to win the race and sell the prize snowmobile for some much-needed cash—and maybe improve his status at school. Kelton’s not the only one out to prove a point, though—popular and beautiful Swann Siddiq is determined to get her superstar parents’ attention and thinks winning the race will do the trick.

Kelton devises a risky shortcut through the wilderness that will help him cinch first place. But when Swann follows him into the treacherous back country along with Kelton’s nemesis, Hunter Higgins, Kelton quickly realizes that the competition is the least of his worries. With bad weather closing in and avalanches brewing on the mountains, Kelton and the others find themselves in very real danger and must rely on their wits and teamwork to survive.
