Bill McKibben is the author of more than twenty books, including the bestsellers The End of Nature, Falter, and Deep Economy. He is the winner of the Gandhi Prize, the Thomas Merton Prize, and the Right Livelihood Prize, sometimes called “the alternate Nobel.” He founded both the global grassroots climate campaign 350.org and Third Act, a project organizing people over sixty for progressive change.

In 2010 he moved to São Paulo, where he spent a couple of years covering the ultra-rich as a full-time job at Bloomberg News.
