When a despised landlord is found dead inside Nightmare's popular bakery, Mama Dalton worries one of her friends is the prime suspect. She takes a cue from Olivia Kendrick's amateur sleuth success to dive into the case, bringing Olivia along with her into a world of old grudges, soured relationships, and secret back-alley meetings.

At the same time, an arsonist is at work in Nightmare, threatening the historic buildings that make the former Wild West town iconic. Olivia, Mama, and the supernatural staff at Nightmare Sanctuary Haunted House must team up to keep Nightmare safe by tracking down the guilty party.

While trying to solve the murder and stop an arsonist, Olivia is also busy helping Damien Shackleford piece together the mystery of his long-lost mother. His father would probably help, but Baxter is in no state to talk. Damien's family is heading toward an unconventional reunion, whether he's ready for it or not . . .
