Author Bio: Sir Compton Mackenzie
Sir Compton Mackenzie (1883–1972) served as director of the Aegean Intelligence Service during World War I. He wrote more than ninety books and became known as one of the most outstanding broadcasters of his time. He was knighted in 1952.
