Summary

Jake Adams is pulled back into the shadow game in central Europe, where a young Austrian Polizei woman has gone missing. Jake saved Anika Senka when she was a young girl, a refugee from the Balkan Wars of the 90s. Now, a murder in Innsbruck, Austria and the disappearance of his young friend, draws Jake into a case of international intrigue. He barely gets to Austria when the shooting begins, and Jake quickly realizes this is not a simple missing person case. The complex world of countries in the European Union clash with underworld organizations exploiting a void of normalcy. With Sirena at Jake's side, they must navigate this new world and peel away the layers of bureaucracy as they battle complicit governments and opportunistic organized criminals, turning normally sedate Alpine villages into a war zone. Will Jake survive his own frustrations, along with the bullets of his enemies?
