Slay-at-Home Mom

Summary

Katie Van Aspell’s hilarious and pulse-pounding debut, Slay-at-Home Mom, is the perfect thriller-comedy for fans of Elle Cosimano’s Finlay Donovan is Killing It and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Megan Butcher is a wife, a mother, and—she’ll admit it—a basic bitch.

She’s also an assassin.

It’s a secret she keeps from her husband, her kids, and the other moms in her affluent Pacific Northwest suburb. Fixing school lunches? No problem. Taking out a hit on a dangerous criminal? All in a day’s work. Megan operates by a strict moral code (think: “Dexter” in mom jeans) that keeps her conscience clear and her double lives separate. But when she’s hired by a mysterious tech billionaire to eliminate a “difficult investment,” she suddenly finds herself at the center of a much larger conspiracy—and she might be on the wrong side.

To save herself, her family, and maybe even the world, Megan must uncover the truth, unmask the bad guys, and discover what kind of killer—and mother—she really wants to be. All before school pickup at 3pm.
