Summary

The governor of Colorado has commuted the prison sentence of Goldy Schulz’s ultra-handsome, ultra-charming, ultra-wealthy, psychopathic ex-husband, Dr. John Richard Korman, a.k.a. “the Jerk.” Now someone is trying to sabotage Goldy’s latest culinary endeavor, a post-funeral reception for a friend at a local lodge. Could it be the Jerk, or another enemy determined to sour the sweetness of Goldy’s life?

But even more disturbing than the anonymous threats, rumors, and violence is the fresh corpse that’s just surfaced—and suspicion centers on Goldy. Suddenly, she’s faced with the challenge of running her successful catering business while fending off two persistent detectives. At least she’s still breathing—though maybe not for long if she doesn’t track down a killer who’s cooked up a very nasty repast for Goldy and the people she loves.
