Everyone makes mistakes in life, and mine was letting "the one" go. We wanted different things and neither one of us would sacrifice at the time. Our demise wasn't for a lack of love. We loved each other so much. Unfortunately, life was pulling us in two different directions.

Then, fifteen years pass by and I'm putting in my coffee order like any other morning, and I see her. She's aged like fine wine and looks more beautiful than ever. Still the bada** bit** she was back then. I knew life was giving me a second chance to make things right, to be with the woman I never stopped thinking about . . . and I wasn't going to miss out on this opportunity.

There's only one problem—she didn't come alone. Meghan came with a teenage girl. One with dark features and her mother's light eyes . . . who damn well looked like the perfect combination between us.

I didn't want to think this girl could be mine, but the mere sight of her proved it. Why didn't Meghan tell me we had a daughter? I knew there must have been a damn good reason, but soon enough I found out why she stayed away.
