A diary, written in 1912 by a Lutheran pastor is discovered within a wall. What it unveils is a slow massacre, a chain of events that go back to 217 Blackfeet dead in the snow. Stephen Graham Jones is the award–winner and New York Times bestselling author of six story collections and twenty-five novels. He has been an NEA fellowship recipient and a recipient of numerous awards, including the Locus Award, British Fantasy Award, Alex Award, Los  Angeles Times Book Prize, Ray Bradbury Award, the Bram Stoker Award, Shirley Jackson Award, Jesse Jones Award for Best Work of Fiction from the Texas Institute of Letters, and the Independent Publishers Award for Multicultural Fiction and has been a finalist for many others. He is the Ivena Baldwin Professor of English at the University of Colorado Boulder.
