The Golden Huntress

Summary

Charlie Pierce was born to hunt the relics of dead gods. Jack Slade was sent to hunt her.

Charlie Pierce doesn't want to die. Just beyond the mortal border of her home, the Spiritwoods have claimed so many lives: her father, her boyfriend, Noah, and countless other Collectors who went searching for the dead Celestials' unspeakable power. But it's her rightful turn to join the annual Hunt—entering the Spiritwoods, where the Collectors’ Society will determine her worth—and she refuses to back down. Not when it's the only way to get answers about the ones she's lost.

Jack Slade has a mission of his own—kill Charlotte Pierce before she puts together the pieces of a puzzle that could ruin his family completely. No one will question another heir lost to the Hunt. That's what his father says, at least.

When a violent storm scatters this year's initiates across the Spiritwoods, Charlie and Jack are forced into an unlikely alliance to find a Celestial vessel and escape the ever-changing realm of the gods before it's too late. But as they venture across deadly, magical terrain, the line between enemy and ally begins to blur. Charlie realizes that Jack isn’t who she always believed…

And neither is she.
