Summary
Eccentric, absent-minded inventor Professor Branestawm embarks on a series of adventures with his friend Colonel Dedshott. Various machines are invented: a time travel-machine, a device to capture and tie up burglars, and a spring-cleaning machine. Inevitably, something goes wrong and Professor Branestawm is again in a pickle, exasperating his housekeeper Mrs. Flittersnoop and delighting listeners.

Author Bio: Norman Hunter
Norman Hunter (1899–1995) is the author of the Professor Branestawm series, which was originally created for a children’s series on BBC Radio. The professor went on to appear in a series of thirteen books by Norman Hunter over the next fifty years, from 1933 to 1983.
