Summary
Summary
There once was a boy named Marcel, who was gifted at many things. He could draw anything. He could act. He could dance and move his body to imitate all kinds of animals and people; he could even become the wind! His family clapped and laughed when he performed.
But before Marcel could even grow up, his country was invaded by an enemy that meant to harm his people. Their lives were in danger.
So the boy used his art to forge documents to help others escape. He used his talent for acting and entertaining to lead children to freedom, pretending to be scouts on a trip. When soldiers questioned them, he performed so well that they too laughed and let them pass.
Such was the daring and incredible life of one small boy who became the most famous mime in the world—the man we know as Marcel Marceau!
