Summary

Summary

New York Times bestselling author Tony Hillerman is past president of the Mystery Writers of America and has received the Edgar and Grand Master awards. His love of the Southwest and his reverence for Native American lore shine throughout each of his Leaphorn & Chee novels.

A “sinister pig” is boss of the sty: the pig who guards the trough and attacks any other animal trying to eat from it. There is a sinister pig in control of the pipelines of drug smuggling between the U.S. and Mexico. But in this business, one can only stay on top for so long. When the struggle for power dumps a corpse onto tribal lands, it gets the attention of Sergeant Jim Chee and his retired partner, Joe Leaphorn. Now the sinister pig must either fight—or run.
