Summary

In the aftermath of their clan's takeover, Mari and Zahir seek refuge halfway across the world in Mari's home clan. There, they must work to gather unlikely allies to join them in the fight against the most villainous mage ever to walk the world.

Mari, after stealing human souls, is cursed by her own magic. Between the dark lines marring her skin and the corrupt voices in her mind, she struggles to keep hold of who she really is.
