Summary

When a young boy named Jim Hawkins finds a treasure map and narrowly escapes pirates searching for it, he brings it to Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney, who immediately outfit a schooner named The Hispaniola and bring Jim along as cabin boy to retrieve the buried treasure. However, as they near the secret island, Jim discovers that 19 out of the 25 members the crew are plotting a mutiny, lead by the ship’s cook, Long John Silver. It’s up to Jim and the 6 remaining faithful sailors to somehow repel the mutiny, find the treasure, re-capture the ship after they are forced to abandon it, and return home safely.
