Summary

Mark: Stay focused. Finish my game. Stay out of trouble. Those were the rules. I thought hanging around Derrick was harmless. Now I'm drowning in the fallout and Derrick holds my future in his hands. Then he gives me a way out. Date the hockey captain. Break his heart. Walk away.

I didn't commit the crime being pinned on me. Besides, the hockey golden boy would never look twice at someone like me. Hunter isn't what I expected. He's gentle, patient, and so disarmingly kind it terrifies me.

If I want to save myself and Hunter, I have one choice left. Stop Derrick or risk losing the only good thing that's ever been mine.

Hunter: Between caring for my best friend after an accident shattered our lives, juggling school, and keeping my spot on our college hockey team, I'm stretched too thin. After one fight, my friend gets arrested, and I'm stranded in his dorm hallway with nowhere to go. Then I meet Mark.

There's a spark between us that first night. And the closer we get, the clearer it becomes that Mark is keeping something from me. When the truth hits, it detonates everything I thought we were building toward.
