The Good Burglar

Summary

From bestselling thriller author Nick Pirog comes a brand new heart-pounding adventure

By day, Otis is an unassuming FedEx driver. By night, he’s something else entirely—a masked outlaw with a golden heart. Secretly a multimillion-dollar crypto king, Otis breaks into homes not to steal, but to give. As The Good Burglar (GB), he leaves money for people who need it most—and even tidies up before slipping away. His compulsion to clean traces back to childhood, when scrubbing floors was the only way to drown out his parents’ drunken fights.

But not everyone appreciates his generosity. Some see only a criminal and report him for breaking and entering. Enter Detective Lexi, the hard-charging cop assigned to catch him.

What neither of them knows at first is that their lives are already entangled—Otis and Lexi were childhood classmates, and fate has just thrown them back together. Soon, sparks fly in their personal lives, and Lexi finds herself hunting the GB by day and flirting with Otis at night.

But, when the Good Burglar is framed for murder, the two of them are forced into a secret partnership in order to find the real killer. Lexi and the GB exchange cryptic texts as they chase down a twisted trail of scams and betrayal, and he even saves her life along the way—all while remaining a mysterious masked vigilante.

Torn between her growing feelings for Otis and her obsession with the mysterious GB, Lexi doesn’t realize they’re the same man. Not yet …
