Whale Nation is a hymn to the beauty, intelligence, and majesty of the largest mammal on earth. A “green classic” read with natural resonance by its author, it rarely fails to strike a chord
in the hearts of those concerned with the abuse of our planet.
Includes a fascinating account of whale history and is sensitively underscored with classical music.

“Part natural history, poetry and ecologic statement, Heathcote Williams’s presentation is a moving audio. Listeners will learn and think about whales as never before. In addition, this is a breakthrough in format for audio programs. The presentation combines commentary and prose with historical reference and facts. Williams departs from current forms of spoken audio, such as recorded books, adaptations or radio drama and opens a realm of possibilities. Listeners will be fascinated by the stunning program…Winner of the AudioFile Earphones Award.” —AudioFile
